  • Provide relief for caregivers and supportive social interaction for patients
  • Assist in light chores such as laundry, cleaning windows, ect.
  • Assist the patient through Life Review
  • Provide the patient with pet therapy
  • Assist in bereavement support
  • Clerical work, filing, answering phones, typing, ect.
  • Prepare and mail newsletters, thank you notes, sympathy cards, and other literature
  • Create blankets, scarves, mittens, pictures, cards, music CD's, ect.

*Our main office is in Milpitas, CA. However, we provide services throughout Santa Clara County.

Description

Sequoia Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals who can provide comfort and support to patients with a life-limiting illness. This position is perfect for those who have a passion for serving their community, need volunteer hours, and have a background in clerical work.
*At this time, we are currently looking for office help and will provide any Personal Protective Equipment needed. Visiting with patients is limited at this time.

  • Current TB test, All volunteers will require a criminal background check with OIG. This is required for those who have direct patient contact or access to patient records - State requirement.
