ORGANIZATION: NAMI Mid-Ohio

Thank you for checking out this post! We need people, like you, who are wanting to decrease the stigma of mental illness and spread awareness about the importance of mental health!

We are looking for presenters for our Ending the Silence presentations. We will train you! No presentation experience necessary.

NAMI Ending the Silence presentations include two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery. Audience members can ask questions and gain understanding of an often-misunderstood topic. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end stigma. Presentations are given at schools or other community locations and can be designed for students, their families or staff.

NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI started with a small group of families in 1979 and has grown to include more than 500 local affiliates. NAMI Delaware and Morrow Counties is one of those affiliates and we offer support groups, classes and presentations to individuals who have been affected by a mental condition and their loved ones.

Does this sound like something you would want to do? Email info@notaloneohio.org for more information!

And THANK YOU for checking us out and being a part of the movement to end the stigma!
