Sikhi Alpha
is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to end injustice by empowering and educating people to raise themselves up. We are guided by our vision to provide basic human survival needs, including fairness, safety, and education in a prejudice free-way. We run dedicated campaigns under 3 themes: Fairness - support victims of social discrimination; Education - support low income children by providing financial literacy, health education, and school supplies; and Safety - support victims of domestic violence by providing employment training, education, and health support.


Sikhi Alpha is
growing fast and expanding its outreach and is looking for passionate individuals to join our family!

We have a great opportunity for an administrative assistant to act as a liaison between the founder/CEO and everyone else. This individual will serve as the main contact for interested volunteers.

The position is fully remote and will have brief but daily contact with the CEO. We are looking for someone long term that wants to be a part of our team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise between the CEO and the rest of the organization whenever required
  • Research, emails and phone calls to help plan and coordinate events
  • Assist CEO with administrative workflow and have regular meetings
  • Help CEO with deadlines for appointments and other tasks
  • Manage volunteer coordinators when required
  • Schedule meetings for appropriate members
  • Help the Human Resources Officer oversee volunteers as required
  • Research, file and database management
  • Intake and outtake of information
  • Day-to-day operations

Skills, and required qualifications :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to listen well
  • Reliable internet access
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Passion for service and justice
  • Desire to gain professional experience while developing communication and leadership skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Google Drive and Docs.
