DEFEND is a registered nonprofit looking to reduce risks for children and vulnerable people online. We have more than 60 volunteers from around the world who work with our organization on a regular basis. Please learn more about us before applying: www.HelpUsDefend.com

We are looking for people who will join DEFEND's HR department on a casual or part-time basis.

TIME COMMITMENT: A few hours per week, ongoing (remote work)

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle personnel issues
  • Be a team to handle resignations and oversee disciplinary measures for volunteers who are not acting within DEFEND's code of conduct.
  • Conduct surveys of exiting team members
  • Be a conduit for transferring to other teams
  • Help develop policies around HR needs for DEFEND
  • Report to DEFEND (its Committee or Board) on issues or strategies regarding recruiting for specific roles;
  • Develop DEFEND's Committee Support Program (a program where Committee Members are assigned volunteers to connect with as support persons for those volunteers)
  • Analyze trends for volunteering, making recommendations to Committee Chair about optimal recruitment methods
