Are you looking to give back to the community? LifeSTEPS has an opportunity for you!
We are currently seeking hard-working and dedicated volunteers committed to empowering their neighbors and residents in Alameda County by providing nutritional nourishment and alleviating food insecurity.
It would require help with unloading and set -up, crowd control, and assisting LifeSTEPS Director of Social Services with food distribution to residents living in affordable housing communities. The volunteer must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be willing to obtain a Food Handler's certification - which only takes about a 45-minute training. It will also be helpful to have transportation in case assistance with transporting food is needed. Bilingual in Spanish is also preferred but not required.
The food distribution at this site occurs every other Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
