Senior Computer Lab: Open Lab and Classes
Station uses volunteers in a state-of-the-art computer lab to teach other seniors Introduction to the Computer, Word, Excel, Genealogy, digital photography, CD Creator, film editing, etc. Other volunteers are used as lab monitors to provide one-on-one assistance to seniors coming during open lab time to use DSL and high tech equipment.
Volunteers are needed:
· To teach 4 to 6 week introductory and higher level computer classes. Training outlines and textbooks are available.
· To teach half-day or full day seminars on various computer topics, ie How to Use CD burners, How to Edit Digital Photographs, etc.
· To monitor Open Lab. Monitors are trained in lab equipment, how to maintain the lab, trouble shooting, and keeping records of sales (color printing, disks, CDs).
Teachers need experience in subject matter. Monitors need general computer knowledge
Terms: Site is handicapped accessible, Volunteer must be at least 55 years of age

The Marshall County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program enables men and women to contribute to their communities through volunteer service which enhances the lives of the volunteers and those whom they serve and provides communities with valuable services.
Description
County-wide organization that orients, places, recognizes and trains volunteers to work in the county with various public and non-profit agencies, schools, hospitals, etc. Volunteers can work a much or as little as they have the time. Volunteers are placed based on interest and date they are available.
