Suicide Prevention of the Central Coast (SPSCC)
SPSCC is looking for new suicide crisis line volunteers! Our crisis hotline serves the tri-county area of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz. Join us for volunteer responder training and participate in a rewarding experience while learning active listening skills, self-care, and suicide and crisis intervention techniques. The training sessions begin on January 21, 2021, and end on March 11, 2021. Registration is required.
No experience is necessary--only a willing and an open heart. 18+

To provide suicide and crisis intervention, community education and outreach, grief support and referrals to persons at risk of suicide and suicidal behavior in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties.
Suicide Prevention Service has been providing services for the residents of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties for over 45 years. We are dedicated to supporting the health and well being of our community, while also providing life-sustaining services for the most vulnerable and at-risk residents. Services include a nationally-accredited 24-hr multilingual suicide crisis line, community education for potentially at-risk individuals, families, teachers, first responders, and anyone else interested. Bereavement support services are also available for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
