Mission Statement

We are on a mission to work and walk together with the targeted to communities to achieve a wholistic well being of the households and communities.

Description

MACOHELP was established in 2017 by female youths from Malaha community to support and contribute to the development agenda. The main goal of the organisation is to ensure that both vulnerable male and female children, youth, adults and the elderly have access to basic services that will contribute to their well being. Through the Malaha Medical Health Centre, we are providing basic health care to more that 10,000 vulnerable women end children. Also, we have been in the for front in hygiene and sanitation promotion as well as safe water treatment. We have reached more than 20,000 households with this programme. We champion sexual and reproductive health rights among the youth especially in high schools and colleges. we hold regular sensitisation forums for the youth on SRH and also provide SRH services including family planning services at the health centres. A total of 4500 have been reached by this programme. We support community preventive health through the community health workers and community nutrition volunteers. Currently we work with 45 CHW, 30 CNV and 100 mother to mother support group. we have set up a farmers learning centre in which the farmers are routinely trained on good farming and animal husbandy techniques to promote economic empowerment. Currently, the learning centre has a membership of 200 farmers.
