We are looking for volunteers to provide companionship and tuck in calls on the telephone to our terminally ill patients and their caregivers. Often times a phone call is the only socialization and emotional support a hospice patient or their caregiver has...

We are also needing volunteers who can provide bereavement support to the caregivers after their loved one has passed.

Description

Enhabit is looking for direct patient and administrative volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much time and what types of things you want to do.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
