We need volunteer partnership directors to help us reach out to veteran service organizations, workforce development centers, and other non-profits helping job seekers to tell them about IndigoPathway and help them get started in using this free service.
IndigoPathway.com , a free online resource for job-seeking Americans and workforce development organizations across the country. The IndigoPathway app was designed to help people from all backgrounds discover new careers and industries that don’t require a four-year degree. As of November 2020, nearly 11 million Americans were unemployed and an additional 7 million were in the workforce looking for a job ( US Bureau of Labor Statistics ). With over 18 million job seekers across the country, American employers and workers needed a solution that connects job seekers to positions that match their strengths and motivators.
IndigoPathway.com is that comprehensive solution, providing the following:
Self-Awareness Career Quiz: A free, 10-minute survey that gives users detailed information on their strengths, motivators, DISC-based behaviors, and communication styles. The free quiz is sponsored by Indigo’s 501(c)(3) non-profit arm. Take it now.
Career Matches: Each user’s unique qualities generate a list of highly accurate and curated career matches focused on high-wage jobs that can be obtained without a bachelor’s degree. IndigoPathway includes emerging fields like virtual reality, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and distributed ledger technology.
Education Database: IndigoPathway’s career matches are connected to an extensive database of non-traditional education certifications, apprenticeships and training opportunities to help users get the jobs they want. IndigoPathway’s database is also open for programs, schools, and other organizations to submit listings of more unique opportunities that users can explore.
Job Openings: Indigo is partnering withSkillup.org to provide real-time listings of job openings and training programs. SkillUp is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping workers who lost jobs or wages because of COVID-19 and has formed a national coalition of partners and providers.
IndigoPathway’s inside-out approach to career search comes from Indigo’s belief that people shouldn’t be forced to fit themselves into a job role. Instead, Indigo finds that well-equipped employees thrive when communication styles, job tasks, and workplace culture aligns with an individual’s identity.
According to Simon Sinek’s theory of leadership, people need to understand their "why" (motivators), ground it in their "how" (behaviors), and then explore the "what" (careers and necessary skills) for a more fulfilling life. IndigoPathway provides the insights and tools to allow job seekers to find meaningful work they will love.

Orientation or Training
We'd like the lead volunteer in this project to spend about 10 hours a week on the project and be the key contact for IndigoPathway partners. Other volunteers could focus on a speciality area or area in the country and work as they have time.
Willing to communicate via email and zoom with potential partners.
