Commonpoint Queens' Food Pantry needs your help.
Our food pantry stocks a variety of non-perishable and perishable grocery items to help support local families in need.
We need help with:
Volunteers can help at the Food Pantry
Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
The work area is very spacious, but not air-conditioned.
Volunteers may be required to lift boxes and packages up to 50 lbs but this is not a requirement to volunteer.
Volunteers should bring their own water and are welcome to bring lunch or buy lunch from the cafe at the pool.

Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit, multi-service agency with flagship sites in Little Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, and 33 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 35,000 people. Since our inception, almost 60 years ago, the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to the core element of our mission - enhancing the quality of individual, family and communal life through service to people of all ages, ability levels, stages of life and backgrounds.
For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.
As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.
We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
About CQY
For over two generations, CQY has been a special place for thousands of families, older adults, children and individuals who participate in its parenting, preschool, after-school, cultural arts, camping, health and fitness, social services, and senior programming. In a vital community with many synagogues and day schools, the CQY is a unique venue where everyone can come together to enjoy affordable activities and quality programs, and to discover opportunities to connect with others who share similar backgrounds and interests. Based in a 35,000 square foot dedicated facility on 108th Street with a full-sized pool and gym.
