AseraCare Hospice an Amedisys Company
A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Our bereavement department is committed to providing bereavement services, not only to the families of our patients but to our entire community. Bereavement volunteers work closely with our Bereavement Coordinator. Our program supports our patient families, via phone calls and mail for a period of twelve months after their loved one's death. Bereavement volunteers provide support visits to our patients and families, provide support calls in addition to the calls provided by the Bereavement Coordinator, provide assistance for bereavement support groups, & help to assist with our annual memorial service. All bereavement volunteers receive additional training and guidance before starting. The gift of time the bereavement volunteers offer allows us to provide a broader scope of services.
