Our Mission is to provide hope for the hurting by serving those in need locally and abroad. We accomplish this through the provision of food, clothing, hygiene products, furniture, appliances, and other basic necessities, free of charge to the jobless, the working poor, the disabled, the elderly and those experiencing times of crisis.

Grateful Hearts operates four different programs geared towards serving the most vulnerable groups in our local communities and communities around the world. Our core program is our Food Distributions Program. Through this program we serve 9,000+ meals per month. Grateful Hearts is able to obtain food for individuals and families in need, mainly through a collaboration partnership with various local grocery stores that participate in Food Rescue Programs.

The posted volunteer opportunity involves assisting Grateful Hearts with its Food Distribution Program. Tasks involve loading and unloading trucks & vans, sorting food items, checking for expiration dates, discarding expired items, and maintaining the pantry area clean and organized, distributing food to clients, sorting and organizing donations.

This volunteer opportunity is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
