Consider joining an award winning chapter of SCORE Lowcountry, which was recently selected Chapter of the Year- Small markets from over 240 chapters. SCORE Lowcountry is a non-profit that provides free mentoring to clients that want to start or grow a small business in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton Counties. We are looking to expand in our market to help businesses and entrepreneurs and have subject matter expert volunteer positions needed.
A major part of our funding source is through grants, in order to fund our community outreach and help local businesses . We are seeking an individual who can help us develop and complete online grant applications. This unpaid position works from home. This person needs their own computer and internet access, to complete the grants. Each grant may take approximately 5-10 hours and needs to be filed by specific deadlines. Expectations will be to file 5 to 10 grants over the course of a year. The ideal candidate should have experience in business writing, organizing required documents and research, as well as being local to the Beaufort County, SC area. Training will be provided prior to start. Computer literacy is necessary.

We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country and 10,000 volunteers offering free business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over 50 years, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.
