** Currently Looking for Volunteers in Jefferson, Berkeley, Hampshire, Morgan, Grant, Mineral, and Hardy Counties **
Our volunteer coaches are the heart & sole of our program!
Each spring (~March-May) and fall (~Sept-Nov), our coaches lead groups of 8-20 girls through our award winning curriculum. For 8 weeks, our fully trained coaches (we provide all your training!) meet with their teams twice/week for about 1.5 hours to mentor the girls mentally, emotionally, and physically. Our curriculum lessons are all laid out for you (in other words - no lesson planning!), and teach life-skills in a fun & active way! While discussing topics that build self-confidence, perseverance/grit, guide good decision making, and boost joy, girls are also training for an end-of-season 5k that is fun for everyone!
This is SO MUCH MORE than a running program (and many of our coaches and girls aren't "runners") - it is a LIFE program!
Coach registration is open for the upcoming spring season! Learn more & sign up now @ https://www.girlsontherunsv.org/Coach
Please sign up NO LATER THAN August 13 for the fall season!
Reach out to Brianna Stock, Program Director @ brianna.stock@girlsontherun.org with any questions.
