My New Red Shoes is seeking a volunteer with in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how they can be leveraged in different scenarios, and experience with online monitoring and measurement tools.
My New Red Shoes (MNRS) is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to improve the quality of life and well-being of children by working to reduce the impact of income inequality on youth and their families. Our Dual Service Community Response Program mobilizes resources and partnerships to provide a social safety net for children while helping to stabilize struggling families. Our hope is to help create a normalized school experience for children experiencing economic hardship by providing for their basic needs.
We're seeking a Digital Social Media Specialist who can:
- Implement MNRS' digital & social media strategy
- Create digital content (e.g. videos, blogs, posts, graphics, stories, etc)
- Develop brand awareness, generating traffic and engagement via social media posts
- Coordinate with MNRS staff to support various campaigns, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivate an engaged social community

My New Red Shoes helps homeless and low-income children look and feel confident as they start the school year by providing them with new clothing and shoes and by rallying youth and adults around this effort through volunteer and educational opportunities for individuals, families, schools, corporations, and community groups.
Description
My New Red Shoes provides Bay Area homeless and low-income children with a gift of $50 clothing gift card and a new pair of shoes so that they can start the school year proud and ready to learn.
We have helped over 55,000 school-aged children & youth since 2006.
