Put your skills, scraps and sewing machine to good use by making Fidget or Sensory Lap Blankets for our dementia patients in Kansas City Missouri. The blanket can keep a person busy for quite a while "fidgeting" with all the interesting objects in her lap that don’t fall off. You can use materials with different textures, attach items that can be manipulated such as zippers, pockets, attached bean bag, buckles, beads, laces, key rings, etc. This is where you can get really creative and add some fun. We have resources to help you design and supplies to help you create. This is a great way to serve from the comfort of your own home. Call Kathy Fetters at 816-389-5426 or kathy.fetters@crossroadshospice.com if you would like to help.

About Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care

Location:

Mission Statement

Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry, to continually shape the way palliative care is viewed and administered so that everyone can expect more from us.

Description

Expect More From Us. We Do. Why not? That's a question we ask ourselves every day. In fact it is the question responsible for our beginning and has made us what we are today. Because "why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. In fact "why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
