Strategic Communications Team Job Description (Volunteer)
Overview of Job Functions and Goals
Job OverviewOur product, Keep.id , prioritizes serving both nonprofits and those experiencing homelessness . Keep.id, being primarily a web application, necessitates secure, tested, and high quality code. It also requires intentional two-way correspondence with the organizations that know social services best.
Here’s a slide deck to learn a little bit more about us and our methodology.
As a Strategic Comms teammate, you would be in charge of:
Researching, supporting, corresponding with, developing rapport with, scheduling meetings with, facilitating meetings with, and collecting feedback from organizations that serve those experiencing homelessness.
Regarding our culture:
- We seek first to understand, then to be understood.
- We think in terms of questions (e.g. what is hospitals’ role in supporting those experiencing homelessness as it pertains to ID?)
- We collect qualitative and quantitative data.
- You’ll provide updates to the rest of the Strategic Comms team on your relationships with organizations, and on their beta tests of the Keep.id website.
- Performing market research and planning across fields in social services.
- Working alongside (Donor Team) Pro Benders to ask for donations from large organizations and coordinate marketing campaigns that applaud partner organizations.
We actively encourage a strong sense of ownership, a learning-based environment, and a team culture that is incredibly nice and passionate about the future of this project! We have an active Slack group, have virtual meetings twice a week, and expect around 5-10/hours a week for a part-time volunteer.

Description
Our product, Keep.id, aims to build a safety net around experienced homelessness by providing electronic document storage and complementary features. We envision Keep.id as a financially sustainable, HIPAA-compliant application that serves partner organizations in the Philadelphia community, and in the future, scales to various regional hubs experiencing homelessness in the U.S.
