LOT2545 serves high-risk and disadvantaged youth, and employs single moms with fair wages for their creative works, in Kampala, Uganda, Africa. Because of talented and dedicated volunteers in the US, 98 cents of each dollar donated is spent directly impacting lives in Uganda.

From our original effort to serve young men in Kampala, we have expanded to help others in need. In 2021, we are committed to providing educational classes for young women in the areas of health, life choices, and entrepreneurship.

This opportunity is specifically to help us grow the opportunities that we provide to the single moms and widows that we employ. Throughout each year, we provide jobs to approximately 20 women. They are paid a fair wage, which they set, for each item they make and we cover all of the costs of the materials. You can check out some of their items on our Etsy page (www.etsy.com/shop/lot2545). We also have a jewelry club, where members can sign up for monthly giving and receive a piece of jewelry in exchange.

We currently only have their products in the Ten Thousand Villages in Mishawaka, Indiana. We are looking for other stores that would want to partner with us on a continual basis, either by selling the women's creations on consignment or creating a wholesale partnership. This opportunity is to help us reach our goal of having at least 5 new stores that will carry the women's works. You will be responsible for:

• finding new stores that are willing to partner with us on a wholesale or consignment basis
• manage relationships with each store through out the year
• track inventory and sales to each store and report on a monthly basis
• follow up to ensure proper listing and sales of each store
• communicate requests for colors and designs to Director in Uganda

If you have experience in merchandising and sales, and want your expertise to drastically change the lives of women and children, this opportunity is for you. The main focus of LOT2545 is children/youth living on the streets, but the number one cause of children running to the streets is poverty at home. Increasing our partners, will increase the women's income allowing them to better provide for their children, thus keeping them at home and off the streets.

LOT2545 is a registered 501c3 in the US and NGO in Uganda. We do not have any fair trade certifications but do follow fair trade principles.
