***LEG values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages people of color, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply***
LEG educators teach our developed curriculum during prescheduled 1 hour classes. We currently have 6 developed topics, with more in the works. Current topics: Automotive Maintenance, Communication in Etiquette, Home Maintenance, Personal Finance, Social Etiquette, Time Management and Organization.
You Do Not need to be a professional in these fields. Some experience is great, but our educator team is not required to be a licensed teacher or expert in the topics.
More importantly, LEG requires educators to have a passion for teaching, and delivering information in an exciting and interactive way.

Mission Statement

Teaching students unique and important life skills, preparing them for their young adult life.

Description

LEG - Life-Skills Empowerment Group started offering classes to high school students in 2019. Originally developed to offer day-long workshops - in person at the schools - allowing students to rotate through each offered subject. During our current pandemic, LEG has developed online classes, with the availability to offer more classes/topics, and reach more students.
Because of our extended reach and growth, we are in need to expand our educator team. We do not require our educators to have/had their teaching certificate/certification/degree, as long as you have a passion for teaching and can be fun and engaging while delivering our developed curriculum.
All staff, including educators, are currently volunteers- with the arrangement of receiving stipends/salaries once funding is secured.
Our program has received positive and exciting response, with repeat class requests - and new requests coming to us daily. It is perfect time to recruit and grow our educator team!
