Rise Up Project is an initiative that provides free essential job skills training to help individuals enter and/or advance in the workplace. Coaches from various industries teach in a virtual classroom setting, to cover the following topics:
- Creating Effective Resumes
- Sharpening Interviewing Skills
- Networking using LinkedIn
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Best Practices for Virtual Meetings & Interviews
A vital part of the coaching role is to build participants' confidence and create a positive, engaging atmosphere for a sense of community.
Volunteers are needed to coach the participants. Many of our participants have been impacted by COVID and are looking for these job skills to help them enter or advance in the job market.
