Decatur Location Opening Spring 2021!!! Join our volunteer team and Be Vital To Life!

  • Registration Clerks will be needed to be the friendly face of the Decatur Donor Center! You will be responsible for greeting donors and entering their information into the computer.
  • Volunteers will be needed to oversee the Canteen! You will encourage our donors to sit down with a provided beverage &/or snack and make sure they are feeling well enough to leave the donor center.


Shift length and frequency are flexible! Time off when needed!

Masks will be mandatory for all donors, volunteers and staff.

Description

The Blood Center is a volunteer-based organization that involves volunteer blood donors, a voluntary board of trustees, and community volunteers. Volunteers provide a much needed and valued service to our donors, patients and staff. We serve over 115 hospitals in 4 states and utilize volunteers from many areas to assist in our operations. Headquarters for the organization, as well as component processing, is located in Davenport, Iowa.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Shifts can be as small as 3 or 4 hours and can be as infrequent as once a week. We ask for a 6 month or longer commitment, if possible.
  • Must be at least 18 for Registration Clerk position. Must be at least 16 for Canteen. Need to be friendly and outgoing, interested in working closely with our healthy, happy donors!
