MOST AMERICANS WANT TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO ASSURE THAT OUR VETERANS RECEIVE THE HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES THAT SO MANY OF THEM DESPERATELY REQUIRE.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE VETS THEMSELVES OFTEN DO NOT KNOW WHOM TO TURN TO FOR GUIDANCE AND THIS DEFICIENCY IN OUR SYSTEM CAN LEAD TO GREAT HARDSHIP AND STRESS,NOT ONLY FOR THEM BUT FOR THEIR LOVED ONES, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.
CVO IS LOOKING FOR PUBLIC SPIRITED CITIZENS TO ACT AS NEIGHBORHOOD VETERANS ADVOCATES RIGHT IN THEIR OWN CITY'S NEIGHBORHOODS OR VILLAGES.
THE JOB DESCRIPTION ENTAILS ENLISTING THE COOPERATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS IN LOCATING NEARBY VETERANS AND MAKING SURE THAT THEY GET THE SUPPORT THEY NEED AND DESERVE.
THIS INCLUDED CREATING SOCIAL EVENTS IN CONCERT WITH THE AREA'S HOSPITALITY ENTERPRISES FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT BOOST MORALE AND COHESION AMONG THEM.
Promote the well being of military families especially veterans by connecting them and their organizations with one another and the general public by addressing their common interests in a collaborative manner thus enhancing the quality of life for all Americans.
CVO is headquartered in the City of Chicago and is composed of veterans organizations and allied groups supporting the well being of military families and veterans for the purpose of engaging in activities designed to maintain and improve the quality of life for these American heroes and their families who have sacrificed so much so we may all live in peace, prosperity, and good fellowship.
