Use your own vehicle to retrieve wagons from our Lakeview Pantry "Hub" location at 5151 N. Ravenswood and deliver them to one of our Home Delivery distribution sites (distribution site location will be confirmed with you upon picking up wagons from the "Hub"). Help distribute food at the site, then bring the wagons back to our Lakeview Pantry "Hub" location at 5151 N. Ravenswood. This opportunity takes place on Wednesdays from 10:30am - 1:30pm.
Interested volunteers should email email@example.com where they will get registered, receive a Lakeview Pantry orientation and respond to a COVID-19 questionnaire. Drivers must be 18 years old or older and provide a valid driver's license and insurance.
Lakeview Pantry strives to eliminate hunger in our community by: Providing food to fill the basic need of hungry people, increasing the independence of our clients through self-help initiatives and other innovative programs, and raising awareness of poverty and its solution.
Since 1970, the Lakeview Pantry has been providing food for our neighbors in need. While our doors are open to all, the vast majority of those we serve within our neighborhood may be disabled, working for minimum wage, recently unemployed, or the elderly. Whatever the reason, we are here to help. Each year, over 700,000 pounds of food are provided to more than 18,000 people.
We'll work with your schedule.
