Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Rockford, TN. RAM provides free dental, medical, and vision care to those in need. Our mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. We do this by operating free dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals across the United States and internationally. Through the contributions of over 155,000 volunteers, RAM has treated over 835,000 people and 68,500 animals, delivering more than $150 million worth of free health care services.

RAM and the community will be grateful for any amount of time the volunteer is willing and able to commit. Doors open to patients at 6 am, operations will continue through the evening of each day.
Volunteer licensed Ophthalmologists and Optometrists are needed to aid with providing free vision services to those in need in the Knoxville area.
