Volunteers are needed to provide daily phone calls to isolated, home-bound older adults to check on their well-being and safety. This has become even more crucial since the onset of COVID-19 and the inability for many older adults to interact regularly with others in their community. The agency tries to pair volunteers with older adults with similar interests and hobbies so that a strong relationship can be formed. The length of these phone calls can range from a few minutes (just to check-in) or much longer, if needed or wanted by the client and volunteer. For more information, please call 518-843-2300.
