Healthy volunteers ages 18 to 65 are needed for breakfast service at the Blue Spruce Temporary Shelter. Duties will include distributing sack breakfast and lunch, and assisting with coffee service to those experiencing homelessness.
Sign up by going to fortcollinsrescuemission.org/volunteer and clicking "Serve a Meal" and choosing Northern Colorado then finding a Breakfast Meal Service opportunity that works for your schedule!
The Blue Spruce Temporary Shelter is located in the back half of the Larimer County Food Bank building in north Fort Collins. Parking is available on the north side of the building. Look for yellow signs for "Volunteer Parking" along the metal fence. When you enter the shelter through the volunteer entrance, head to the kitchen (ahead and to your left). Be sure to check-in to your shift at the volunteer kiosk or by using the QR code posted on the kitchen wall, or ask staff if you have trouble.
Volunteers should wear masks and follow social distancing protocols.

Mission Statement
Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive self-sufficient citizens.
Description
Founded in 1892, Denver Rescue Mission is the oldest full-service Christian charity serving the poor and needy in the Rocky Mountain region.
Lawrence Street Shelter is our most recognizable location because of the neon "Jesus Saves" sign on the corner of the building. Services at this location include shelter (up to 315 men nightly), medical services and relational and emotional support for those experiencing homelessness.
The Crossing provides a long-term New Life Program location for men; the STAR Transitional Program for homeless families and single men and women with children; and temporary housing for New Life Program graduates, interns and visitors.
