Volunteers will be packing food for families that have been impacted by COVID-19. Food shortage is a growing concern in San Francisco, especially in the wake of the pandemic, and you will be making a direct impact on the lives of many families by helping us package food for delivery.

Mission Statement

The mission of Centro Latino de San Francisco is to assist the elderly in obtaining the economic and social support they need so they can function independently and live with dignity.

Description

Centro Latino de San Francisco (CLSF) is a community center that provides a wide range of life sustaining and enrichment services to over 2,000 low-income elderly adults and disabled individuals. The center began as a nutrition project, Los Mayores de Centro Latino (1972-1984), until finding a physical home and broader mission in 1986. Located in the heart of the Mission District, CLSF continues to be a central hub for many immigrants and their families.

  • Preferably, we are looking for volunteers that can come regularly but there is no time commitment for this position.
  • All volunteers will be required to wear proper PPE (provided by Centro Latino) and adhere to social distancing while packaging food as much as possible.
