Volunteer to become a NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitator!
Are you living with and managing a mental health condition?
Are you interested in learning skills to help support others?
If so, you may be the perfect person to be a NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitator!
NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups are free, peer-led support groups for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Attendees gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by two trained facilitators who’ve been there.
Volunteers need to commit to facilitating a group for at least one year. NAMI training is required and provided for this opportunity. Before the training, you must attend 2 groups to gain an understanding of how the group works. Please note, we do not allow observers, so you must only attend the group if you can participate as a peer. The NAMI Boulder County Connection Recovery Support Group meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00 pm MT and Thursday afternoon from 1:00-2:30 pm MT VIRTUALLY!
Contact us at info@namibouldercounty.org if you are interested.
