ORGANIZATION: PENNSYLVANIAS EDUCATION FOR ALL COALITION

  • 15 people are interested

PEAC is a non-profit organization that survives from grant funds and donations. We need people to devote time to research fundraising opportunities and to manage the fundraising events. It would require time to research online, attend webinars, and check-in with the PEAC president for updates. This work does not exist currently so that the individuals willing to help us will make this work their own. All are welcomed to help PEAC!

Mission Statement

PEAC promotes education that includes ALL learners by collaborating with families, people with disabilities, schools, colleges, universities, and other stakeholders to create inclusive communities.

Description

PEAC believes in an inclusive world where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities are valued members of their communities. This is achieved through an annual conference focused on the "how to" achieve a successful and effective inclusive education and family environments. We facilitate IEP clinic where families can have their IEP documents reviewed by professionals and experts in the field and offered suggestions and resources to strengthen the documents. We have parent consultants and self-advocates who tell their stories to higher education classes and school district faculties. We pride ourselves as the bridge to resources and networks for educators and families.
