Role Overview

The Business & Community Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for building a broad, sustainable base of financial support for the organization. The role of this position is to implement the fund development strategy, partnership/sponsorship management, and partner relationship and retention activities of The Tulsa Initiative Inc. include developing and managing high-value and long-term partnerships that align with organizational priorities; developing benefits and managing activation that will add value to partners; overseeing and evaluating all business & community activities.


Essential Functions

  • Manage the development, implementation, and analysis of a comprehensive partnership/sponsorship strategic plan which is integrated into all The Tulsa Initiative Inc units and which meets annual financial objectives.
  • Manage the development of a comprehensive annual partnership plan that details specific activities and timing of activities or engagement (identification, cultivation, ask, stewardship, fulfillment and recognition) for each invested partner.
  • Research prospects to ensure all relationships meet or exceed criteria to acquire partners at various levels of support. Identify long-term, multi-year revenue targets for the organization.
  • Work alongside the Development Manager to share ideas and potential partnership/sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ensure that prospecting, discovery meetings, customized partnership proposals, and follow up (stewardship/fulfillment/renewal) are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate specific partner stewardship, activation and fulfillment on an ongoing basis to ensure satisfaction and tangible ROI.
  • Manage the business or community partnership/sponsorship strategy and provide recommendations to the Executive Team on where to invest and align partnership/sponsorship efforts
  • Refine sponsorship evaluation and activation processes
  • Secure partnerships/sponsors for review and obtain signature from Executive Team
  • Evaluate all partnership/sponsorship opportunities
  • Report partnership/sponsorship ROI
  • Develop and implement measurement tools to ensure profitable ROI or return on opportunity (ROO) is delivered to partners/sponsors.
  • Manage client relationship management database records and reports associated with all assigned partner, sponsor and prospect accounts.


Qualifications

Basic

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or similar degree
  • Experience working with boards of directors, senior executives and volunteers in a fundraising or sales-oriented role.
  • Familiarity with the non-profit sector, community organizations and community investment models is an asset.
