Gap year volunteering programs in Nepal are a highly rewarding experience offering you the opportunity to join like-minded impact-focused travellers on a various range of volunteer programs while engaging in meaningful exchanges with the local community. Gap year volunteering programs are your chance to take a break from school, work, or university. It is about taking time to grow as a person and get ready for the next stage of your life. Most people choose to travel, try new things, learn new skills and meet new people. We think the best bit about gap years is that there are no rules. No gap year has to be the same, so it is about finding something you are passionate about.

Volunteer World Nepal specializes in providing gap year volunteering programs and travel programs that are designed to offer the best possible experiences to our customers. Although most of our customers opt for a two or three-month travel program, we also offer the flexibility to plan for other activities throughout the year. In gap year volunteering programs, we believe that this approach helps our customers to make the most out of their gap year by packing in as many experiences as possible.

Gap Year Volunteering Programs in Nepal Highlights:
  • Have a burning desire to explore the world and want to get out there and meet new people on a gap year volunteer program.
  • Addressing global issues with young people
  • Helping students develop life skills in a safe place
  • Living in your destination like a local in homestays and volunteer houses meeting people from all over the globe practically under one roof.
  • Learning how to cook local meals.
  • Opportunity to build new and work on existing skills.
  • Dedicated and impactful volunteer work.
Who says gap year volunteering programs are just when you leave school?

One of the common misconceptions about volunteering abroad is that you will be in a group of very young people. It is true that many of the large volunteering organizations target the 'GAP Year’ pool of school and university leavers. However, at Volunteer World Nepal we have placed volunteers from the ages of 17 to 76!

Make the most of your time after the kids have left home

We often find that when people retire or their children leave home they are suddenly left with lots of time to spare. Gap year volunteering programs are the ideal time to come to volunteer in Nepal. We find that the varied experiences some of our older volunteers bring with them not only help hugely with their interactions with Nepalis but also allow them to share them with our younger volunteers.
