Come join our rock star teams of volunteers by recruiting other fantastic volunteers for our organization! We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Volunteer Coordinator to help us recruit and onboard new Ruff Haven volunteers. We espouse a judgement-free culture of transparency, empowerment, and kindness and are looking for volunteers who are as passionate about serving humans as they are animals.

Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Recruit new volunteers using social media, Volunteer Match, and other communication channels
• Interview potential volunteers using a Google Phone number or Zoom
• Onboard new volunteers via a Zoom volunteer orientation at least twice a month
• Work and coordinate with our cat room volunteer coordinator/mentor
• Actively use Facebook and post in our Volunteer FB group
• Collecting volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintaining an up-to-date database
• Using marketing tools such as outreach programs, e-mails, and volunteer databases
• Keeping new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities
• Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training

Our organization is growing fast and we have several programming goals for 2021. We need a hard working, dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to help us serve more pet owners in our community.
