Part Time - Virtual Assistant Non-Profit STEM who lives in the San Diego and the County
IT Computer Wiz Kids Inc. is looking for an exceptional part time Virtual Assistant. The mission of IT Computer Wiz Kids (Wizkids) is to give youth and adults the confidence to pursue careers in Information Technology (IT) and the computer industry in a fun, exciting, learning environment and to provide technology education and job training that will prepare them for life. As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization Wizkids is committed to teaching youth and adults about technology from underrepresented and underserved communities. Through hands-on, experiential team-building activities and a life skills-based interactive approach, we uncover people's talents and guide them through multiple Information Technology (IT) learning development channels. Our students range from K- seniors because it is never too soon or too late to learn. Our Techno Savvy Seniors (A division of IT Computer Wiz Kids) program unites youth instructors with senior generations in bridging the digital divide.
Virtual Assistant Responsibilities include:
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Web Savvy with Google+ Google drive, Microsoft One Drive. Should have experience with social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
- Experience with non-profits, charities, youth organizations, and small businesses. IT background is a big plus
- Post Covid-19 assist 1-2 times month facilitating workshops in San Diego, for now you will assist with virtual classes, and fundraising events with meeting planning experience (advertising, registration, mailings, conference/class room / logistics)
- Can create, maintain, webmail, Gmail, calendar, Onenote and update various Excel sheets and databases as well as maintain contact lists
- Must like and work well with people ages 7 - 24
- Some website on Wix experience with ability to make small modifications or have a strong interest in learning
- Home or virtual office should include: latest version of Apple or Windows 10, a PC\laptop or tablet. Printer (or access to printing services) latest version of MS Office, Mac or PC, Outlook, QuickBooks is a plus
Although we were established 10 years ago, we are new to San Diego and are growing quickly and would like the person to grow with the organization. Our hope is that you have fun while playing a key role in fundamentally impacting lives.

Mission Statement
IT Computer Wiz Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focusing on STEAM-ME (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, money management and etiquette) a program that instructs children, youth, adults and prepares them for careers in information technology. Our youth work with seniors to build an intergenerational bridge to our Techno Savvy Seniors program. This bridge is necessary to navigate the digital divide. Seniors will gain basic and up to date technology skills to have an active technical life. IT Computer Wiz Kids’ volunteers are able to teach and serve as peer mentors to their fellow students, and contribute to the program’s growth. IT Computer Wiz Kids continues to attract adult IT professionals who demonstrate a passion to guide youth and young adults for careers in information technology.

IT Computer Wiz Kids, Inc. was formed for the advancement of youth and young adults in information technology (IT) and computer learning for educational and charitable purposes. The mission of IT Computer Wiz Kids, Inc. is to give youth the confidence to pursue a career in Information Technology (IT) and the computer industry in a fun and exciting learning environment; and to promote job training and career preparation that will prepare youth for a successful transition to adulthood. The program’s focus is to serve underprivileged and at-risk youth who reside primarily in the greater Washington D.C. area. All activities are conducted around established school-year calendars with classes being held both during class time as well as afterschool and on weekends as well.
