WHAM

The Resale Store Volunteer works on the sales floor and interacts directly with customers. In addition to assisting customers, the volunteer will assist cashiers and store management. The volunteer will also help with stocking shelves and keeping the sales floor orderly.

WHAM Resale Store Volunteers must:
  • Always displays a pleasant, positive, customer service attitude.
  • Wear proper safety equipment.
  • Assists cashiers at the registers.
  • Sorts and bags/boxes items for the customers.
  • Assists customers to their vehicle when needed
  • Assists customers at the jewelry and collectable cabinets when needed or assigned.
  • Assists customers on the sales floor by answering questions or moving items to a register.
  • Assists with stocking merchandise the sales floor areas with products
  • Obtain assistance for customers in transporting large items to their vehicles.
  • Assist to ensure that the store & warehouse are neat and orderly for the next business day
  • The ability to listen to instructions and learn from those instructions.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a volunteer to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the volunteer regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms. The volunteer is required to sit, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The volunteer must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Exceptions may apply on an individual basis.
