Summary/objective

Assists in the planning and execution of meetings and special events including in-person programs, virtual summits and sporting events.

Essential duties

• Plans and schedules onsite and offsite meetings and special events, including internal employee meetings, external community-wide conferences, and promotional events meant to increase awareness of organizational efforts.
• Identifies potential vendors and venues and solicits bids or proposals.
• Assists event planning staff in evaluating and selecting service providers.
• Gathers approvals, signatures, payment, or other confirmations.
• Makes travel arrangements or reservations for staff.
• Handles pre- and post-event details and planning alongside staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Represents the organization on the day of the event and ensures operations run smoothly.

Education and experience

Typically requires a high school diploma and 2 to 4 years of experience planning and executing events of all sizes and types. CPR/First Aid certified. Sexual Harassment, Mandated Reporter & Active Shooter Training required. Must pass FBI criminal background check.

Physical requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
