Youth Employment Service (YES) is seeking two Marketing Interns for this upcoming term.

Under the supervision of the VIP Fellow, the objective of the Marketing Intern is to perform marketing tasks to support our goal of assisting Orange County youth ages 16-24 with pre-employment skills training, job development, and job referrals. The Marketing Intern will be assigned various tasks focusing on bolstering the social and community outreach capabilities of YES.



DESCRIPTION

Days: Monday through Friday

Times: Typical work hours between 8AM & 6PM

Hours: Part-time, up to 20 hours/week

Type: Unpaid - University credits available*

Location: Currently virtual, until otherwise stated; initial training will be onsite.



RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES

Assist the YES team and YES Marketing Committee with campaigns in the areas of:

  • Social Media
  • Website
  • Volunteer recruitment and promotional videos
  • Research for outreach efforts
  • Proof-reading and writing
  • Flyer creation
  • Additional program needs



REQUIREMENTS

  • Working towards a college degree (A.A., B.A., or B.S.)
  • 3-month commitment with a minimum of 100 hours of service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and take initiative to work effectively with the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, strong follow-through skills.
  • Experience working in an office setting preferred.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Content creation experience is a plus.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
