Want to help families build healthy reading habits by engineering fun and engaging activities for families to explore stories together at home? Join the Words Alive Crafting Crew! Words Alive is preparing to launch our first Family Literacy Program of 2021 and we need your help to make it happen! The Family Literacy Program helps parents and their toddlers develop healthy reading habits from the comfort of their living room through take-home learning kits. Each session of the workshop series tackles a different fundamental reading strategy and includes a tie in craft activity to help reinforce their learning. You can support families in our community in the New Year: by becoming a Crafter - take home a crafting bundle to prepare supplies for specific projects! Tasks typically involve tracing, cutting, and sorting.
