Do you get jazzed about creating new realities with storytelling? Content creation? Strategic planning within a team? Social media management? Social change?!We’d love to hear from you!

Shakti Rising is a social change organization transforming the lives of women, girls, and the larger community by cultivating their health and emerging leadership, ultimately empowering their personal transformation as a catalyst for positive change in their own life as well as that of their families and communities.

Our model for collective success includes the following interwoven principles:

  • women centered, holistic & trauma informed
  • sustainable
  • based in cultivation of creativity, leadership and community

Our work actively promotes community well being, creating woman & child friendly societies that are safe, healthy, vibrant, diverse, sustainable and culturally alive. Part of how we do that is through the process of storytelling as a means of building bridges and community. The kind of fireside storytelling that has been at the center of endless cultures and lineages.

What is your vision of fireside storytelling?

What feelings does that invoke?

What does that look like, incorporated into our work?

What does this spark within you regarding your service and creativity?

Our vision is to incorporate the power of storytelling and fireside chats into our communications, both within Shakti and with communities near and far. Through social media, newsletters, trainings, etc, our intention is to share the warm embrace of the fire, tales of those here and of the past, and the ability to shine light onto the stories of where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going.

We are committed to providing meaningful engagement for our interns and volunteers in every aspect of Shakti, matching organizational needs with individual talents, passions and goals for growth; creating mutually beneficial relationships while engaging individuals in a lifetime of civic and philanthropic contribution.

We believe leadership is an alchemical journey wherein one’s own inner healing and service to the world join together. Our invitation for you, is to join us.
