We are currently looking for:
Truck Driver: One will be driving either small 14 ft. box truck or 26 ft. Ryder trucks. CDL license required. A background check will be conducted and a short check-ride assessment will be conducted prior to joining the team. Knowledge on how to use electric pallet jacks are highly preferred. No training will be provided on-site.
Ideally we are looking for individuals who can commit to a routine schedule.Our shifts are -
Monday through Friday: (1) 8:45-12:45 & (2) 12:15-16:30
Saturday: 8:30-12:30

All volunteers must be over the age of 18. Please wear face coverings at all time, gloves and other protective gears will be provided on-site.

Mission Statement
9MR assists New York City residents to stand on their own two feet. We do this through food distribution and employable skill set training to meet the essentials for anyone in need.
Description
With 9 million people living in this city, we can think of 9 million reasons to give back. We provide free food for anyone in need.
In 2016, we started with just a supply room in a school with a desire to help the community. We were a few volunteers dedicated to helping New Yorkers who struggled to make ends meet. Every Saturday, we supplied 500 families with groceries that were bought, rescued, or donated from local grocery stores and food drives.
Currently, 9 Million Reasons is operating New York City’s largest and farthest reaching community food pantry. Families in need come to us for free groceries. We also are a distribution center assisting 223 smaller food pantries across the NY Metro Area. In 2020, we gave out 14 million meals.
We’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit that in addition to our pantry, we have a low-cost thrift store, and we work to bring resources to our neighbors, including ESL and GED classes, job training and résumé workshops, and community events. These projects are currently on hold due to our extensive focus on the pantry during the pandemic and ongoing economic crisis.
