Operations Project Manager
Bay Area Green Tours is a non-profit organization that creates interactive tours and experiences highlighting the sustainable economy in action to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future.
We're a grassroots operation reinventing ourselves by moving from in-person tours to virtual green tours. We are a ~20-person volunteer-based organization for now, but we are building for the future by applying to grants and beginning outreach to corporations who want to sponsor our programs and/or buy virtual team building tours. We just redesigned our website and streamlined our operations with a committed, fun, and sharp team of interns and volunteers.
We are looking for a volunteer or intern to keep us organized! We currently share this important task but we are realizing one person would be more efficient. The way we stay organized across teams is by relying heavily on Slack, Google Suite, and Asana.
We are in the process of creating and marketing Virtual Tours so bring on your eagle eye and implementation talent!
Responsibilities:
- Proactively plans, coordinates, tracks, and reports on the execution of projects in every department, from conception to completion
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and manages delegation with appropriate team members
- Leads and manages multi-departmental teams to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
- Addresses questions, concerns, and issues that arise throughout the project
Your profile:
- 1+ years experience in project management, coordination, or related position
- Leadership skills and experience driving projects
- Strong research, communication, and presentation abilities
- Extremely organized, responsive, and a zest for attention to detail
- Experience with Google Suite, Asana & Slack (or at least a desire to master them)
- Passionate about environmental issues and solutions for the future
We can also offer school credit, if helpful. To be considered for this opportunity, please send your resume to hr@bayareagreentours.org .
Thank you!
