Mission Statement

Our mission is to engage the youth and seniors in intergenerational activities that build trust and dispel prejudices. By bridging the gap between two generations it will promote support, caring, and guidance for our two most underutilized members of society, the seniors and youth.

Description

The goal of Connecting Generations-STFCC, Inc., is to provide integrated, services and programs to youth (up to 21) and seniors (50+) in South Cobb County. This program promotes emotional, social, intellectual and physical well being of our youth and seniors. We offer opportunities to meet new people in and around the community, to participate in challenging activities and enjoy daily living in a comfortable environment. Our programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of our community. We offer a wide range of interactive activities not limited to arts and crafts, tutoring, homework assistance, dance, discussion groups, computers, interaction groups for seniors and youth. We encourage our teens to become active in the community by including them in the decision-making process.
