We are looking for Teachers ( Must be Age 55+) and Teacher Assistants to teach general internet skills to older adults. Classes are held throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Classes are both virtual and in person at newly re-opened senior centers. Locations include but are not limited to: Delray, Fort Lauderdale, Boynton Beach, Deerfield, Hallandale, Pembroke Pines and Tamarac. Florida.

Requirements: Must enjoy working with older adults, have patience, ability to think on the spot and inspire others to improve their social and economic security. Have skills to teach basic word processing, online searches, sending and receiving emails, navigating online portals, online safety practices, using google maps and YouTube. Preferred Requirements: Volunteers who are a minimum age 55 and older, reside in Florida, have teaching experience and familiar with gmail. Please share with us if you can teach: Windows/android; I-phone/I-pad; laptops, tablets, smartphones.

The Teacher will lead a computer class of 8 - 10 students online or up to 16 students in person. We provide a course book and online demonstration for teaching tools. Each class is a mix of brief lecture, discussion, hands-on practice, further discussion and review. Teacher time commitment is 6 total hours per week (3.5 hours class time, up to 2 hours planning time). Assistant time commitment is 3.5 total hours of class time. For 6 to 8 weeks.
