The Walk to End Alzheimer's is an annual fundraising event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. During this COVID-19 crisis, families dealing with the implications of Alzheimer's disease need our help more than ever before. The funds we raise will continue to support free local (now virtual) programs including classes, support groups and a 24/7 helpline to assist families in need, as well as fund much needed research to determine a cause and cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Volunteers are the charging force of this successful fundraising campaign each year, and assist in planning all aspects of the walk from initial recruitment, to corporate sponsorships, to donor management, to community outreach & marketing, to the logistics of the event day itself. We are looking for passionate volunteers to serve on the planning committee for our 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer's here in Hawaii. Whatever your talents and interests, we have a role for you on the committee!
We have four Walks and committees: Hawaii Island, Maui, Kauai & Oahu.
The committees meets monthly from January through November, and we are actively seeking new members for 2021. We are currently meeting virtually and will continue to do so until it's safe to return to in-person.
