Mission Statement

The Naiades Oncology Rowing program is committed to serving the physical and emotional needs of cancer survivors. Through our shared rowing experience, we find a means to maintain wellness for our bodies, and courage and determination for our spirit. We find healing on the water through the power of our commitment, and we hope to provide inspiration to all of those who face the challenges of cancer.

Description

We are a low overhead organization that works to get cancer survivors on the water. Roming is an amazing sport and cancer is a terrible disease. We use rowing to help eliminate or reduce the negative physical and emotional issues that may arise during recovery and after when a cancer patient becomes a survivor. Our organization welcomes and encourages male and female cancer survivors to row with us. We are here to provide support and strength for each of you during the recovery and survivorship process.

We focus on rowing. We recognize what each of us has gone through but we don't dwell on it. We are family -- supporting each other and being supported by other community resources.
