The Volunteer Coordinator oversees the volunteer staff. As a liaison between volunteers and College Now & Career Network's Board of Directors, their main responsibilities include...

  • Recruiting, managing, and providing support to volunteers.
  • Responding to volunteer emails and inquiries on a daily basis.
  • Updating VolunteerMatch.org with our volunteer needs.
  • Helping with the annual volunteer appreciation party by researching venues and organizing awards.
  • Coordinating quarterly volunteer mixers.
  • Staffing fundraising events as needed.
  • Overseeing our volunteer software program and providing general support and guidance to volunteers.
  • Working with Executive Director to nominate a Volunteer of the Month.
  • Keeping the Volunteer Newsletter Team updated on events and information.

PREREQUISITES

  • Outgoing, professional, and has a positive attitude.
  • Is people-person that is excited about education high school students and young adults.
  • Has access to email and social media.
  • Experienced in volunteer recruitment or management. (Preferred, but not required.)
  • We will train the right person.

REQUIREMENTS

The Volunteer Coordinator will report to CN2's Executive Director. This position will require...

  • Approximately 2 hours a week.
  • Regular communication with our staff and volunteers.
  • An understanding of CN2's volunteer programs and opportunities.

We are a new nonprofit educational program for high school students and young adults. Our goal is to inspire 1000 high school students a year to earn a college certificate, secure an internship, or a 21-century job with a liveable wage.
