SAFS provides a safe, 24/7 shelter and supportive services for homeless families with a goal of stabilizing housing and employment.
Storage Room Organizers maintain the shelter’s storage rooms so staff and clients can easily access what they need. Organizers will also help sort donations and label items as needed. Volunteers should be able to bend, crouch, use a ladder, and lift at least 20lbs.
Times: Flexible, any time between 7a and 6p
Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.
