During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice.
The Alzheimer’s Association is actively recruiting new members of the Volunteer Committee for The Longest Day, (TLD), one of the Association’s two signature events. This unique fundraiser gives participants the opportunity to do what they do best - whether that’s biking, baking, painting, golfing, or any other hobby you can think of - and do it to help achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
The Committee is seeking volunteers from across Kentucky & Southern Indiana with a range of talents - if you’re creative, help teams and individuals come up with awesome events and fundraising ideas; if you’re a planner who has particularly missed planning things in 2020, this is a great opportunity to flex those muscles; if you’re a cheerleader who likes to help people succeed and feel great about it, participants want to hear from you!; and if you are the networking or social media pro, you know we can never have enough of you!
Click here to learn more about The Longest Day, and please email Shannon White at shwhite@alz.org or Kristin Lehman at knlehman@alz.org to express your interest in joining the TLD Committee - we would love to set up a time to talk about the many ways to get involved!

Our Vision: A world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.™ Our Mission: The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia -- by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The Alzheimer’s Association was founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals who recognized the need for an organization that would unite caregivers, provide support to those facing Alzheimer’s and advance research into the disease.
Jerome H. Stone, a true visionary in the Alzheimer’s movement, was our founding president. When his wife, Evelyn, was diagnosed with the disease in 1970, information about Alzheimer’s - even among the medical community - was limited. With drive and determination, Mr. Stone took a disease that was cloaked in silence and helped to create a global conversation.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
