Garbo is a tech nonprofit on a mission to help proactively prevent gender-based violence in the digital age.

We provide an easy-to-use online background check platform, making it simple for individuals to see if someone has a history of violence including arrests, convictions, and sex offender registry information. In addition to our background check platform, we also offer resources, education and community connection.

We recently announced our partnership with Tinder and are releasing the national version of the app very soon.

We are seeking an experienced graphic designer to help create various content across social media, email marketing, and our blog.

You will work alongside other design volunteers to create a cohesive brand across every channel. Ideally you have 3+ years of graphic design experience using tools like Canva, Photoshop/Adobe Suite, and Figma.


This position requires a dedicated 5-10+ hours a week with a trial six week commitment. There are plenty of long-term growth opportunities at the organization and we envision an ongoing collaboration.
