Make a big impact in someone's life! Help adults learn to speak English!
We are recruiting volunteers 18 and over with excellent English language skills to teach English virtually (with the expectation of a hybrid system starting later in the year). Students attend classes for 2 hours, two times a week.
Morning classes are Mondays through Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The ideal commitment we seek from volunteers is to teach in a virtual classroom ONCE A WEEK for a SEMESTER.
Prior to starting, volunteers attend a virtual orientation and trainings. Training includes learning the online platforms- Zoom and Blackboard. CCA creates the curriculum.
Volunteers must also attend quarterly meetings to review updated materials and/or changes to the program.
Volunteers must be willing to lead a class and have an openness and appreciation for those from other cultures.
